Here’s a few clips of me in action. 👇

My goals as your teacher

Help you learn quickly

I’ll get you playing and having fun as fast as possible, whilst equipping you with the long-term skills to rock any future musical project you might be involved in.

Get you playing your favourite songs

Playing your favourite songs is one of the most fulfilling part about learning an instrument. Whatever the music you love, I’ll teach you how to sound your best when playing along to your favourite tunes.

Show you how to go from good, to GREAT

I’ll show you the tricks of the trade that make a good drummer a great drummer – allowing you to feel confident and capable in your own abilities.

Help you build a rock-solid technique

As a professional drummer myself, I’ll help you build rock-solid technique that you can take with you far into your drumming future.

What you can expect to learn

In my lessons, there’s no waiting around to start playing great music. From our very first lesson, I’ll get you playing some of the most popular drum beats in the world – which you can then use right away in some of the most famous songs of all time.

Songs that I often teach in the first lesson include ‘Billie Jean’ by Michael Jackson, ‘We Will Rock You’ by Queen and ‘I Can’t Get No Satisfaction’ by the Rolling Stones, plus dozens of other tunes from a wide variety of musical styles.

While I’ll be teaching you individual songs to begin with, you’ll also be able to pick up a far more fundamental skill – how to understand the drum part of any song you love, and then learn to play along.

One of my key goals is to help you learn to play the music you’re most passionate about, whatever style that is.

And if you’re not sure yet what you like, I’m more than happy to help you explore new genres and artists that can ignite your passion for music.

Don’t feel you have to be a ‘musical person’ or have a background in music to sign up for lessons – there’s no need for you to have played a musical instrument before.

As long as you have a curiosity for what the world of drumming might be like and would be willing to dedicate some of your time towards practicing, I would love to invite you to take lessons.

Ever wanted to just walk into a bar or a pub, sit down with the band and rock out to a classic tune – even if you’ve never met the musicians before?

Though it sounds like a scene from a movie – if you’ve got a handle on the key skills you need for jamming, you can do this almost anywhere in the world.

I’ll give you the lowdown on everything you need to know – how to steer the band, pick the right song, listen to the other musicians and drive the music forward.

Great technique doesn’t just make you sound your best, it makes you feel your best too.

I’m never happier than when I’m playing the drums – but I’m even happier when I feel comfortable and in control.

Professional technique is like adding rocket fuel to your drumming potential: play faster, easier and smarter while creating a far richer and more desirable drum sound.

There are certain skills that make good drummers into exceptional drummers, and speed up your learning curve at the same time.

You don’t have to learn all or any of these ‘next-level’ skills, but these drumming superpowers will set you up for some of the best experiences of your life.

Soloing – When the lights drop and the spotlight turns to the drummer, bring the house down with a thunderous drum solo.

Gear selection and recording sound – Make your drumming sound current or classic, cool or hot, thunderous or silky pretty.

Chart reading – Sit down and play a song you’ve never heard before, just like that.

Sheet music reading – Sit down and play a song you’ve never heard before, note for note.

I’m so passionate about learning new things and bringing that back to my students.

One of the awesome things about drums is that you can always have a beginner’s mind – there are always people that are better than you, and that’s totally okay.

I’m constantly inspired by the folks that show me what’s possible on the instrument and I’d love to share with you some of the awesome things that they do.
